Uwe Klingauf, born 1963 in Bonn, studied Mechanical Engineering at TH Darmstadt and received a doctor’s degree in 1995.

In 1995 he began his industry career at Dasa Military Aircraft in Ottobrunn near Munich, where he started as a Systems Engineer. Since 1997 he was put in charge of different managerial functions in the development of Flight Control Systems.

In 1999 he switched to the missile branch of EADS, LFK Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH in Unterschleissheim (Munich). After holding different positions as a Senior Manager in Development, he became 2002 Vice President for transatlantic cooperation programs. In this function he was responsible for all ground based air defense programs and was also member of the board of EADS/LFK.

Since 2004 he holds full professorship at TU Darmstadt and heads the Institute of Flight Systems and Automatic Control.
