The IMPETUS project (Information Management Portal to Enable the inTegration of Unmanned Systems) is addressing the scientific analysis of information requirements for a safe and efficient integration of unmanned aerial systems in very low level airspace. As a first result, this will lead to the prototyping and testing of microservices that represent the necessary flexibility, scalability and cost efficiency to satisfy the demands of the expected high variety of future drones and their missions.

On behalf of the SESAR Joint Undertaking, IMPETUS is carried out by a multinational consortium of key stakeholders in unmanned aviation, which includes the following partners: Altitude Angel (UK), Boeing Research and Technology Europe (ES), C-Astral (SI), CRIDA (ES), INECO (ES) und Jeppesen (DE).

  • Information technology services for UAS
  • Quality of aeronautical safety-critical data
  • Very Low Level airspace
