With the CASCADE (Collision avoidance, satellite coordination assessment demonstration environment) project, the FSR is building on the research results from the Rules4CREAM project and, together with the space company OKAPI:Orbits, is developing a demonstrator platform for coordinating the collision avoidance process for satellites in Earth orbit. In the context of this project, FSR is developing the Mission Analysis Software (MAS), a simulation environment for long-term propagation and conjunction detection for active satellites that can be used to analyse the consequences of collision avoidance strategies.
