Student Assistant – Support for the Development of the New lecture “Machine Learning Applications”

For the winter term 2019/2020 the FSR is setting up a new course entitled “Machine Learning Applications”. In this course the application of Machine Learning in an engineering context will be demonstrated in a practical way. In addition to teaching the theoretical basics demonstration test benches and programming examples in MATLAB and/or Python will be used. For the preparation of this course the FSR is looking for support for the construction of the demonstrators, the creation of code and the creation of lecture documents such as slides in PowerPoint and documents which support the study of the students.

Job Description:

Tasks

  • Design and construction of a demonstration test bench
  • Programming work in MATLAB, Python, Arduino or LabVIEW
  • (Statistical) analysis, evaluation and processing of data sets
  • Preparation of documents for the lecture (slides, documents, flyers/posters etc.)

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of MS-Office
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, Arduino or LabVIEW
  • Interest in the subject area Machine Learning
  • Good language skills in German and English

  • Payment: 11,75€/h
  • Working hours: flexible, desired 1-2 working days per week
