Assistant Researchers wanted: Supporting role in setting up English-language lectures for the Aerospace Engineering program

Starting with the winter semester 2021/22, the FSR offers courses from the specialization Aerospace Engineering in English. Building on the linguistic changeover, the quality of the teaching is additionally to be further improved by revising the course materials in terms of their external appearance and, for example, by adding new practical exercises. This concerns the lectures Flight Mechanics II, Basics of Navigation I & II as well as the Flight Mechanics Practical Course.

Your duties may include one or more of the following:

  • Producing documents for the lecture (slides, lecture notes, etc.)
  • Translation of German-language documents into English (slides, scripts, etc.)
  • Design (and if necessary recalculation) of vector graphics for the lecture notes
  • Conceptual design and implementation of exercise units/practical teaching examples
  • Editorial work

You should have one or more of the following skills:

  • Interest in the subject area of flight mechanics/navigation
  • Very good language skills in English
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office/LaTeX
  • Knowledge of creating vector graphics
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink

We offer you a HiWi contract with 11,75 €/h and freely plannable working hours, whereby regularly 1-2 working days per week are a preferred goal. Deviating scheduling during semester breaks or when necessary is possible in general.
